Excerpt from the Calgary Herald article by Scott Cruickshank who interviewed former Flame, Alex Tanguay:
“The pressure to play hockey, you have that everywhere,” Tanguay was saying Monday afternoon at the Bell Sports Complex, the club’s spiffy new practice facility located south of Montreal. “Obviously, there’s a lot more attention here than there would be in Calgary. You see the dressing room today? That would be a playoff day in Calgary.
“But you have that here every day, especially for a French player. You have to do it. There’s more attention, but that’s part of life here, that’s part of hockey, and it’s something you have to learn to deal with.”
In other words, you make your peace with it. And, clearly, he has.
