In my opinion Habs play has been sloppy & the D certainly need to shore-up & tighten up far too many turnovers in our end.
Leader-ship has been missing early on in my opinion as he team seems to be playing with-out direction.
I am worried about team together-ness closeness as per the players connecting off the ice not just on the ice.
I like to give a team say the x-mas time frame to actually being able to access & rate a teams confidence & team concept as per game on & off the ice .
Go Habs Go !!!
Very good points, Mark. Therrien has instituted a new system intended to create turnovers (by the other team.) Unfortunately, it is having the opposite effect as players struggle to learn the system. Defence is certainly a problem but what’s surprising there is that Gilbert, Weaver and Subban are the worst offenders. For the most part Jarred Tinordi (the player who received so much fan/media criticism in the pre-season) has played very well.
Leadership will be something to watch all season. As you mention, it may take some time to come together.
