Great news for the Nashville Predators and their hockey fans as Shea Weber would have been a very hot commodity in three RFA market. Weber will continue to develop into one of the premier defensemen in the NHL.
I’m a little surprised at the length of the contract and thought the Preds would have locked Weber up for a longer term (5-7 years). It would haved cost the Predator a lot more money on an annual basis to have Weber bypass his UFA eligibility but it would have been worth it.
