MONTREAL – Netminder Carey Price is the Molson Cup recipient for the month of February (13 points). He earns this honour for the fifth consecutive month this season after winning it in October, November, December and January.

Price was selected the first star of the game three times (on February 8 at Boston, February 16 at Detroit and February 28 against Toronto), the second star once (February 21 versus Columbus) and the third star on two occasions (on February 10 against Philadelphia and February 14 versus Toronto). Price finished ahead of teammates David Desharnais and P.K. Subban.

The 27-year old goaltender showed a 9-1-1 record in 11 games in February, ranking second among NHL goaltenders in wins (behind Devan Dubnyk). Price led NHL goaltenders with a 1.34 goals against average and a .949 save percentage, stopping 278 of the 293 shots he faced. He ranked second in the NHL with two shutouts (tied with Cory Schneider and Marc-André Fleury). He was named the NHL Second Star for the month of February.

Carey Price will be presented with the Molson Cup during a ceremony prior to the Tuesday, March 10 game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Bell Centre.
