1. You have to consider the level of competition there, however. Outside of Trunev, there probably wasn’t another name you would recognize if you had the team rosters. That wasn’t exactly the WJC.

   Granted, the Russian team was most likely stacked with better players than the AAA midget Giants team but with being said, we have to give Trunev credit with seizing the moment and playing great against players his own age.

   Let’s not forget that he is the youngest Habs prospect in their system. Give him some credit for dominating his age group and the fact he is presently playing in the KHL. He recently scored his first KHL goal and by all accounts, hasn’t looked out of place playing with men in arguably the world’s second best professional league……not bad for a kid who just last month turned 18 years old.
