From the Columbus Dispatch (Puck-rakers blog) by Aaron Portzline who updates Pascal Leclaire’s high ankle sprain and the call up of Steve Mason from the AHL (Syracuse Crunch).

It’s confirmed that Steve Mason will be recalled by the Blue Jackets in advance of Wednesday’s game vs. Edmonton.

Mason will not start against the Oilers. But he will start Friday and/or Saturday in the Blue Jackets’ back-to-back game vs. Montreal and Calgary.

What this means is that Leclaire will not be back by this weekend. Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson and coach Ken Hitchcock confirmed that Leclaire has not had a setback; he’s just not 100 percent healed from the ankle sprain.

Steve Mason = Carey Price.
