Lightning sign Vrbata to 3 years/$9 million contract

TSN:

The Tampa Bay Lightning signed unrestricted free agent forward Radim Vrbata to a $9-million, three-year contract Tuesday.

He had 56 points (27-29) in 76 games for the Phoenix Coyotes last season.

Habster:
A good signing without costing a ton of money. Vrbata is a good offensive player with great speed.
I think the Lightning are finished as they now have a solid group of forwards and will not be so dependent on the St. Louis/Lecavalier duo for offense.
The big question marks will be in nets and their lack of quality depth on the blueline……..what’s that expression, defense wins championships!!!
