Liam Maguire is a hockey historian extraordinaire without any peers as far as total hockey knowledge. This is a great article concerning how/why the Montreal Canadiens had the “French Canadian rule”which allowed the Habs to pick any two players from Quebec. I certainly learned something from this story.
