Here’s a small excerpt from the Hamilton Spectator article by Scott Radley:

We all know that for local die-hard Maple Leaf fans, cheering for the Hamilton Bulldogs over the past six years has been a tad complicated.

While they believe it’s good to celebrate any team from their hometown, the idea of rooting for anything to do with the Montreal Canadiens is like cheering for intestinal tapeworms or a backed-up toilet.

While understandable, that’s a little unfortunate. Because many of the guys who’ve come through here have been pretty darn good hockey players on the rise. In fact, it’s hard to imagine there’s another minor-league city that’s been home to as many future NHLers in recent years.
