Lapierre adds 16 lbs of muscle, Looking forward to playing with Laraque

Habster:

Maxim Lapierre says he is looking forward to playing with Georges Laraque and thinks the acquisition of Alex Tanguay will be of great benefit to the team’s success.

He also is less optimistic about Mats Sundin coming to Montreal now than he was in July but feels his addition would push the Habs over the top.

Lapierre also explains how he has worked hard this off-season and has added 16 lbs of muscle to his frame, going from 196 to 212lbs.

I think Lapierre will have a solid season with Laraque on his wing.

  1. Potentially a great “energy” line in the offing with Lapierre centering Georges Laraque and Gui Latendresse. A line that averages about 6-3 and 240 pounds per player, with a some speed, some skill, and lots of physical play.
