    Below is an excerpt from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune/Pioneer Press article by Michael Russo:

    Asked if he dreams of being teammates with Mikko, Saku, 8 1/2 years older at age 33, said, “Well, I played with him in the Olympics, so we’ve got that experience. But it would be fun in a way, but at the same time he went through a lot earlier in his life following my steps and everybody thinking that he’s going to be the same player, so in a way I think it’s better for him to have his career somewhere else and not being on the same team.

    If you’re a Minnesota Wild fan, I wouldn’t hold your breath on the older Koivu signing with his brother’s Wild. If Saku continues having a great season, I would be surprised if Gainey and Koivu can’t come to a mutual agreement on a new contract at season’s end, especially if Koivu wants to return and is willing to sign a similar money value contract.
