Gainey wouldn’t have to give up as much for Miroslav Satan as he would for Marian Hossa but obviously Satan isn’t the same player as Hossa……not even close but he would be a decent acquisition to add a big, scoring winger to Koivu’s line. He’s probably isn’t Gainey’s first choice or his type of player but maybe a change of teams could be the difference. Satan is an UFA so Gainey wouldn’t have a commitment beyond this season on him.
