Habster’s take:
There is no question in my mind that Ryan O’Bryne will be one of the first defensemen called up from Hamilton when there is an injury (Jamie Rivers will also be considered due to his NHL experience). O’Bryne would have made the Habs roster if it wasn’t for the seven guaranteed one way contracts and the chance of losing a player through waivers.
He is what the Canadiens need on defense: size, good skating and physicality!!!
