HAMILTON, ON – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Pierre Gauthier announced today that goaltender Peter Delmas has been recalled by the Hamilton Bulldogs from the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers. Delmas will join the team in Glens Falls tonight.
Delmas, 21, has played in 15 games for Nailers this season, posting a 9-4-0 record, a 2.43 goals against average and a .909 save percentage. The Bedford, Nova Scotia native was previously recalled to the Hamilton Bulldogs on October 31, 2011 but returned to Wheeling on November 3, 2011 without having played a game. In 24 games with Wheeling in 2010-2011, Delmas recorded 15 wins, 6 losses and 2 overtime losses, with a 2.03 goals against average and a .928 save percentage. He also played two games for Hamilton that season, posting a 1-0-1 record, a 1.92 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.
In the ECHL’s 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs, the 6’12, 190-pound goaltender posted an 8-5-1 record, a 3.13 goals against average and a .903 save percentage playing in 15 of Wheeling’s 17 post-season games before the Wheelers were eliminated in six games by the Kalamazoo Wings in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Hamilton Bulldogs play next on Friday, January 13th, 2012 at 7 p.m. when they take on the Adirondack Phantoms at Glens Falls Civic Center.
