MONTREAL, QC. — On Wednesday, the Montreal Canadiens announced that defenceman Mike Reilly had been signed to a two-year, one-way contract. The deal has an average annual value of $1.5 million.

The 25-year-old Chicago native played 57 games for the Habs this past season recording three goals, eight assists and an even differential.

Reilly was acquired at the 2018 NHL trade deadline from the Minnesota Wild for a fifth-round pick in last weekend’s NHL Entry Draft.

In 160 career NHL games for the Wild and the Canadiens, Reilly has seven goals and 30 assists.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound defenseman was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the fourth round (97th overall) of the 2011 draft.
