Canadiens assign eight players to the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs

PRESS RELEASE

MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced Thursday that eight players have been released from training camp.

Mike BlundenForwards Michael Blunden, Martin St-Pierre, Christian Thomas, Nick Tarnasky and Patrick Holland, and defencemen Magnus Nygren, Darren Dietz and Greg Pateryn have been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

There are still 27 players at camp (15 forwards, 10 defensemen, 2 goaltenders), including four players sidelined due to injuries: Alexei Emelin, Douglas Murray, George Parros and Davis Drewiske.

The Canadiens will play their last preseason game tonight against the Ottawa Senators, at the Bell Centre.
