Fastest Skater- To the overall quickest prospect

Ben Maxwell

Runner Up- PK Subban, Matt D’Agostini

Despite missing a large chunk of the season, Maxwell can be considered the quickest prospect on the club now that Mikhail Grabovski is no longer with the club.
Subban can fly up and the down the ice, which helps him cover a lot of ground. He moves very well for a player with his size as he has a solid, compact frame.
D’Agostini can get up and down the ice in a hurry as well, it’s one of his better assets and should help him get to the next level down the road.

Rick is the Editor-in-Chief, lead contributor, and owner of the All Habs network of websites. His mission is to build a community of Canadiens fans who are informed, engaged and connected. He is the vision behind all four sites within the network - All Habs, Habs Tweetup, We Are Canadiens, and The Montreal Forum - and is responsible for the design and layout of each. In concert with the strong belief that "Habs fans are everywhere!", Rick is pleased that people use All Habs as a conduit to find and connect with other Habs fans worldwide. He is also proud that Habs Tweetups have allowed fans to meet in person and develop long lasting friendships.

  1. Maxwell really blew away the competition at the 2006 CHL Prospects Challenge. That is the only case I know where his skating skills have been electronically recorded. I think he won every event, some by large margins. The other Hab player who fared surprisingly well in that event was Mathieu Carle, who timed ahead of several reputedly fast skaters like Bobby Sanguinetti and Ivan Visnovski among defensemen. Carle was the best overall skater among defenders at the Prospects Challenge, although I don’t think he won any single event.
