Roster cuts coming: The Canadiens are expected to announce a full slate of cuts following the game tonight or on Tuesday morning.  The coaching staff needs time to work with the opening night line-up which should be on display for the final two pre-season games against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Injuries will play a part in who takes the ice.

Re-stocking the Hamilton Bulldogs will allow Clement Jodoin and Ron Wilson get ready for their first pre-season contest against the Binghamton Senators in Victoriaville on Friday September 30.

Brock Trotter has been placed on waivers to facilitate being sent to Hamilton. He is scheduled to play tonight.

Reports suggest that Nathan Beaulieu will be returned to the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL tonight.

Sick bay: It’s a full ward with 17 players on the injury list.  It is worth mentioning that there are injuries and then there are injuries.  Many players who are on the list would be playing if this was a regular season game.  Others have more serious ailments.

Ryan White was on the ice to test his injured groin on Sunday. Word is that it didn’t go well and his injury will keep him off skates for a week. He will miss the start of the season.

Travis Moen will be out at least a week with a lower body injury.
