Post-game Chatter |
Coach Michel Therrien:
- “Really good road win. We knew that the [Rangers] would be really excited to get back in their building. We didn’t want to open up the game. I thought that both teams played really well defensively.”
- “Those types of games, often times, it’s special teams that make the difference. We ended up scoring the first goal with out power-play. We really concentrated on not giving up the odd man rush. [We played] a tight checking game. Peter Budaj made some key saves at the right time.”
- “[Blocking 28 shots] means that our positioning was good. A guy like Douglas Murray, that was his first game that he played with us, I thought he did a really good job bringing the depth we are looking for with our defense.”
- “[Murray] did a really good job even if he took a penalty. I thought that was a pretty clean hit. He’s a gamer. He’s strong on puck. He’s good in the corners. He’s good in front of the net. We’re glad that he’s healthy.”
- “Our goalies give us a chance to win every night. Since the beginning of the year, whenever we put Budaj or Carey Price in, they’ve been really good.”
- We gave [Bournival] an opportunity. He’s taking full advantage of it.”
