Players to watch

  • Al Montoya
Montoya gets the start in goal tonight. In his last game, Montoya played well for the first two periods but, along with his team, struggled in the third.
  • Erik Karlsson
Karlsson has yet to score this season but has nine assists in six games. Montreal players must be aware of Karlsson at all times or he will make them pay.
  •  Mike Hoffman
Hoffman is an elite shooter with nine points in 11 games. With Bobby Ryan and Kyle Turris out with injury, Hoffman is the top forward for the Sens.
  •  Artturi Lehkonen
Lehkonen has yet to score this season but continues to create scoring chances for himself and his linemates due to a relentless forecheck and fearlessly going to the net.

Keys to Victory

  • Positioning
The Senators are skilled at capitalizing on turnovers and mistakes.
  • High quality shots
The Habs have been getting lots of shots on net but not many from dangerous positions.
  • Attack the goal
The Canadiens must make it hard for Craig Anderson driving to the net for rebounds.
