For a complete recap: Habs Prevail in Special Teams Battle

Players to watch

  • Andrew Shaw
Shaw has been electrifying during this road trip. With three goals in his last two games, Shaw picked a great time to get hot. He will defiantly want to keep it going against his former team.
  • Charlie Lindgren
Lindgren will get the start for the Habs after Montoya played on Saturday night and Price is still listed as day-to-day. Lindgren has yet to lose a game in the NHL.
  •  Brandon Saad
Saad leads his team with four game winners this season. Saad had the game winner against the Habs in their previous matchup.
  •  Ryan Hartman
Hartman is one of the more underrated players on the Blackhawks. He is a big body forward who is capable of playing any kind of role. Hartman is tied for second in points for the Blackhawks this season.

Keys to Victory

  • Maintain energy
Habs play their best hockey when all lines have energy and are moving with and without the puck.
  • Special teams
Habs will have limited chances on the powerplay but will need to make them count.
  • Play to the buzzer
The Habs must be sure to avoid late period goals to the Blackhawks.

 What to Expect
After Saturday night’s comeback win the Canadiens will want to use that win as motivation against the Blackhawks.

Prediction: MTL 3  CHI 2

If the Habs can continue scoring and use their energy to create some offense they will have a good shot beating the Blackhawks.
