MONTREAL — Netminder Carey Price is the Molson Cup recipient for the month of November. Price, who was the overall Molson Cup award winner in 2008-09, is the recipient of the award for the second consecutive month of the 2010-11 season.

Price received 9,827 fan votes in the Molson Cup standings in November. He was selected four times as the first star of the game (Nov. 9 against Vancouver, Nov. 11 at Boston, Nov. 16 against Philadelphia and Nov. 20 against Toronto), on four occasions as the second star (Nov. 5 at Buffalo, Nov. 6 against Ottawa, Nov. 13 against Carolina and Nov. 27 against Buffalo), and twice as the third star (Nov. 2 at Columbus and Nov. 22 at Philadelphia). Price finished ahead of teammates Brian Gionta (4,120 votes) and Tomas Plekanec (3,995 votes).

The 23-year old goaltender had an 8-4-0 record in 12 games in November, with a 1.59 goals against average. He stopped 373 of the 392 shots he faced for a .952 save percentage. The netminder also recorded three shutouts; on November 9 against Vancouver, November 16 against Philadelphia and November 20 against Toronto. Price was named the NHL First Star for the week ending on November 14 with a 3-0-0 record, a 1.00 goals against average and a .970 save percentage.

Carey Price will be presented with the Molson Cup during a ceremony prior to the December 1 game against the Edmonton Oilers at the Bell Centre.
