MONTREAL, QUE. – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned defenceman Jarred Tinordi to the Bulldogs.

Tinordi has split this season between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In 13 games with Montreal, he has recorded two assists and 19 penalty minutes. In 35 games with Hamilton, he has recorded seven points (one goal, six assists) and 34 penalty minutes.

In 43 career National Hockey League regular season games with the Canadiens, the 6-6, 225-pound defenceman has recorded six assists and 61 penalty minutes. In 149 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs, the Burnsville, Minn. native has recorded 29 points (six goals, 23 assists) and 175 penalty minutes.

The 23-year-old was selected by the Canadiens in the first round (22nd overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

  1. I just hope that MB gives Tinordi a chance to develop down in Hamilton & gives him the full opportunity to prove himself on the big club.
    In my opinion Tinordi will be a force to reckon with in the NHL & heaven forbid any poor sucker who tries to invade his side of the blue line with their head down.
    Habs need size & strength through-out the line-up & they have a long way to go to be a power house in term of size & strength.
