MONTREAL, QC – Need to get caught up on Habs highlights? Want to relive the memorable moments of the past week?

Then All Habs Rewind is for you.

Every Sunday watch the most unforgettable goals, saves, hits by your Montreal Canadiens compiled by our video production team! Then tell us which one you liked most in the comments section below.

Staying in Florida for a second night, Peter Budaj was in net on Sunday for the Habs.  Carey Price had played the previous night in Tampa Bay.  For the Panthers, it was allegedly their largest crowd of spectators so far this season but by the looks of it most of them were there to support the visiting team.  Unfortunately the mass of fans didn’t have much to cheer about.  The only Canadiens goal was scored in the second period by Brandon Prust.  They had two potential additional goals but both were reversed after review.  Final score:  Panthers, 4-1.  (Read our full recap here: Habs Fail to Get Breaks, Win Battles vs Panthers)

Tuesday night continued the Habs’ road trip, this time with the team visiting the Carolina Hurricanes.  The game started well for the Canadiens with Lars Eller scoring a goal and Max Pacioretty netting one on the power play.  Pacioretty would score again in the second period, but the third period saw the visiting team unravel with a barrage of penalties.  Price was solid in net, denying multiple 5-on-3 opportunities for the Hurricanes, but the Habs defense couldn’t prevent Jeff Skinner from scoring two power play goals in quick succession.  The Canadiens gave up their three-goal lead and headed to overtime, where Alexander Semin scored the game winner for Carolina.  Final score: Hurricanes, 5-4 (OT).  (Read our full recap here: Penalties Contribute to Habs Third Period Collapse)

The Habs wrapped up their road trip on Thursday night with a visit to Dallas to take on the Stars.  After giving up the first goal, the Canadiens answered back with a first period goal by Pacioretty.  David Desharnais and P.K. Subban both scored in the second period, and then the Habs really opened up the scoring in the third with a power play goal by Brendan Gallagher, an even-strength goal by Eller, and an empty-netter by Pacioretty.  Dallas was served their first regulation loss in eight games.  Final score: Canadiens, 6-4.  (Read our full recap here: Habs Find Their Speed, Offense vs Stars)

Finally, the Canadiens took to their home ice on Saturday night in an all-Canadian matchup against the Ottawa Senators.  Before puck drop, Tomas Plekanec was presented with the Molson Cup award for the month of December.  The Bell Centre crowd quickly deflated, though, when the Senators scored just 13 seconds into the game.  They racked up three goals in the first period, with Danny Briere potting one for the Canadiens.  Briere, who was back on the ice after being a healthy scratch for two games, scored another goal in the third period along with captain Brian Gionta.  For the second time this week, the Habs headed to overtime but a quick power play goal off of a Subban penalty sealed the deal for Ottawa.  Final score: Senators, 4-3 (OT).
