The Habs and their fanbase had waited for more than a week to finally see the puck drop on Game 1 of their second round matchup against the Boston Bruins, and the first game gave them plenty of hockey.  Matt Bartkowski took two penalties against Dale Weise on this night, resulting in the first and last goals scored against his team.   P. K. Subban took advantage of both penalties, getting the Habs on the board in the first period.  Rene Bourque and Francis Bouillon scored in the second and third periods, respectively, keeping the visiting team in the game despite being outshot 51-33 overall.  Carey Price proved to be outstanding throughout the game.  Regulation time wasn’t enough to decide this one, with the final goal being scored by Subban in the second overtime frame.  Final score: Canadiens, 4-3 (2OT). On Saturday afternoon, in a rare matinee for the Canadiens, things looked like they were going well yet again for the visitors.  The Bruins were keen to take a lot of penalties, giving Montreal power play opportunities which they were more than happy to take advantage of.  Mike Weaver put the Habs on the board in the second period, followed by a power play goal from Thomas Vanek.  Another PPG from Vanek in the third gave them a two-goal cushion, and sparked the Boston offense once again.  The Bruins tallied four unanswered goals in the final frame, handing the Habs their first playoff loss this season.  Final score: Bruins, 5-3.
