PRESS RELEASE

MONTREAL – The Canadiens announced Wednesday that goaltender Marc Denis was recalled from the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs. He will take part of the club’s practice today in Buffalo.

A Colorado Avalanche first-round selection in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, Denis posted 21-14-0 record in 36 games this season with Hamilton, with a 2.57 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. Denis was also named AHL Player of the Week for the period ending November 2, 2008, after recording three wins in as many starts.

The 31-year-old netminder appeared in one game with the Canadiens this season, turning aside six of the seven shots he faced in 20 minutes of ice time on January 2, 2009, in New Jersey.
