Bulldogs bounce back with 5-2 win over Marlies

The Hamilton Bulldogs got the message.After a lackluster performance Friday night in a 3-1 loss to the Houston Aeros the Dogs bounced back Saturday with a 5-2 victory over the Toronto Marlies at Copps Coliseum.

“We stepped up in our one-on-one battles,” said Kyle Chipchura who scored twice and was named the game’s first star.“The coaches got the message across that we didn’t work (Friday) and we all knew it as a group that we had to do better.”The Bulldogs took a 2-0 first period lead and never looked back.Chipchura opened the scoring at 8:45 and Matt D’Agostini made it 2-0, on a power play, at 12:13.
