Here’s an excerpt from the Canadiens.com article by Manny Almela who spoke to Christopher Higgins about his first regular season game:

“I’ve got to be honest, I felt surprisingly good tonight, better than I ever expected,” said Higgins, who even assisted on Saku Koivu’s goal in the first period. “Aside from us not getting two points tonight, I feel pretty positive about it for it being a first time out for me.”

“I thought he was excellent,” said Carbonneau. “His legs looked fine, he got involved and he didn’t look to me like a guy who was playing his first game of the season. I’m really happy with his performance and I think he was too.”
