  1. actually, im not surprised at all to see the habs at #1. our biggest challenge in the east will probably the pens, but i’m not sure they got better and i doubt Fleury will play as well as he did in the playoffs last year. On the other hand, the habs only got better and with more experience, our youngsters will only take us the a new level.

anyways, my rant is over lol. btw, please check out my new blog, it’s called The Garbage Goal, http://garbagegoal.wordpress.com/
for more biased information about the montreal canadiens lol j/k

  2. Hey gbadmin,

I’m also not surprised by THN selection of the Canadiens to defend the Eastern conference title.

The Habs have definitely improved their overall depth at the forward position and should be a difficult team to defend against.

Like yourself, I’m not totally convinced that Fleury will duplicate last year’s level of play. The additions of Satan and Fedotenko will be interesting to watch as they don’t always show up for work. The other concern factor for the Pens will be the lack of toughness at the forward position.

With that being said, I’m also hoping Carey Price can continue the fine play that he displayed at the end of the regular season. Obviously, his playoff performance has to be better than last season if the Habs expect to get the Stanley Cup finals.

Anyhow, welcome to the world of blogging and thanks for the comment!!!
