The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have signed center Jeff Carter to a multiple-year contract, according to club General Manager Paul Holmgren. Per club policy, financial terms were not disclosed.

“Jeff is a terrific young player who has come up through our organization and we believe that he is only going to get better,” said Holmgren in making the announcement. “It is a priority for us to keep our core of young players intact and signing Jeff allows us to do that.”
