Excerpts from TSN’s Pierre McGuire:

Montreal went with the top prospect in the QMJHL with the 25th pick in the mock draft, selecting Chicoutimi centre Nicolas Deschamps. Although not considered an elite offensive prospect, Deschamps did lead the QMJHL in rookie scoring.

The Montreal Canadiens need a bigger presence and Nicolas Deschamps is one of those guys that can fit the role. If Montreal can get him at No. 25 that would be a pretty big coup for them.
