Carey Price proved NOTHING during the regular season. He was a lame goaltender who had a disproportionate number of bad games. He’s also VERY lumbering and slow – and once he’s down, heaven help him if he needs to move to the other side of the crease. I have never seen a highly touted goaltender give up such a huge number of soft goals! The Canadiens are INSANE if they’re banking on him for the future. If they don’t make a move in the free agent market for a solid number two / alternate, the 2008-9 season will be a shambles. Theo, Huet, even Halak – all are better, faster, more nimble. Mark my words, folks – he is a looming catastrophe and NO ONE will be talking about him 18 months from now.
