Lever waits for the call

from The Hamilton Spectator:

Hamilton Bulldogs’ head coach Don Lever is hoping that his phone will ring a little this summer.

“I think there’s going to be a lot of (NHL) openings and, hopefully, I’ll get some calls and get some interviews,” said Lever, who thinks his case for an NHL coaching position has been enhanced by the success of Bruce Boudreau who took over a struggling Washington team in midseason and got them into the playoffs. Boudreau coached the Hershey Bears last year when Lever’s Bulldogs beat them in five games in the Calder Cup final.
“If it doesn’t happen, I’d be more than happy to be back.”
